Overall Course Aims is to:
· Provide students with basic knowledge of nerve conduction and electromyography and its clinical corrrelation.
· Enable the students to acquire and become efficient in basic clinical skills for different electrodiagnosis techniques. The student should be competent in doing of a limited number of basic technical procedures.
· Enable the student to acquire and demonstrate attitudes necessary for achievement of high standards of medical practice including lifelong continuous medical education (CME).

The overall aim of the course:
The overall aim of the course is to make the student aware that time is brain and to be able to realize the difference between ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and how to rapidly refer the patient to Tanta Stroke Chain.
Objectives
This course will provide students with basic knowledge regarding:
1. Stroke Chain logistics.
2. Different types of stroke.
3. The urgent treatment of ischemic stroke including IV thrombolytic therapy and mechanical thrombectomy.
4. ICU care of stroke patient.
5. Stroke prevention.
6. Stroke rehabilitation.

Aim of the course:
Smoking leads to disease and disability and harms nearly every organ of the body. Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis. So, the aims of this course are to know components forms and hazards of tobacco smoking and to gain skills how to help smokers to quit.
Objectives:
· Have a basic knowledge of the history of tobacco.
· Identify the tobacco and nicotine products currently on the market especially E-Cigarette.
· Be aware of the impact of these products on body systems especially the lung.
· Impact of smoking on pregnancy and children.
· Understand the basics of nicotine addiction.
· Know the smoking cessation modalities which are currently available.

This course will provide our students with very important and useful knowledge regarding :
1) Etiology, Epidemiology, types and comorbidities of substance use disorders.
2) Special focus upon the most common substances of abuse including Cannabis, Opioids “including Tramadol” , Alcohols, Stimulants and hallucinogens.
3) Management of substance use disorders.
4) Relapse prevention programmes in addiction.
5) Non substance use disorders (Behavioral addiction).
